Linden Mill was built as a textile mill in 1907 in Hebden Bridge.
The mill is home to a number of professional artists who exhibit and sell work, locally, nationally, and internationally, as well as working to commission. Since the spring of 2020, the artists at the mill have mounted a number of self-funded and successful exhibitions in the Linden Mill Gallery.
Previously, the Linden Mill Gallery was named the David Wright Gallery, commemorating the founder David Wright who died in in 2013. Numerous high quality exhibitions from some wonderful national and international artists were staged there by the charity, Artsmill. Exhibitions included work by Picasso, Paula Rego, Frank Auerbach, Bridget Riley, Goya and Quentin Blake.
A planning application to develop the mill into 18 flats is currently being considered by the local authority which, if approved, will result in the artists having to find alternative studios
